Scope of Works:
1. Removal of Existing Lawn: We stripped out the entire lawn to eliminate weeds and clear the site for comprehensive groundwork.
2. Deep Rotovation: A full deep rotovation was carried out to break up compacted soil and prepare the ground for extensive level adjustments.
3. Major Level Corrections & Soil Installation: This project required significant regrading. The main lawn area had a noticeable hump through the centre, which we carefully graded out to create a smoother, more uniform surface.
Due to the substantial height variation — over one metre from patio to fence — we imported and installed a considerable volume of quality soil.
The steep bank was reshaped and softened, reducing the incline while still blending seamlessly with the patio level. The result is a far more practical gradient that allows the homeowner to comfortably walk up and down the garden and mow with ease, while also improving access to the upper section of the lawn.
4. Slow-Release Fertiliser Application: A professional slow-release fertiliser was evenly applied to support strong root establishment and consistent growth.
5. Installation of New Turf: High-quality new turf was laid across the fully regraded area, creating a fresh, level and vibrant finish.
The Outcome:
The transformation has completely reshaped the garden — not just visually, but functionally.
What was once a steep, uneven and weed-filled lawn is now a smooth, accessible and usable outdoor space. The improved levels have enhanced both safety and practicality, while the fresh turf provides a clean, uniform appearance that complements the surrounding patio and boundaries.
This Curdridge project demonstrates how expert groundwork and precise regrading can dramatically improve both the look and long-term usability of a garden.
